Want to learn how to groom a scissor finished dog?
Join us in well established salon with regular but picky clientele.

Primary Duties

 Candidates should have at least 1-2 years experience working as a Dog Bather

  • Must be passionate about service, safety, quality; be team-oriented and dependable. 
  • Ability to proficiently perform all bathing services (nail trims/dremmel, brush-outs, ear cleaning, etc) and lift up to 50lbs also required. 

  • Observe pet’s coat conditions to ensure proper bathing. 

  • Ensure to document and/or advise reception/General Manager extra charges required for brush-out or dematting. 

  • Finish pets as described in procedures. 

  • Ensure dogs are bathed as needed prior to grooming. 

  • Keep bathing stations stocked with supplies, tools cleaned and ready for use. Report low inventory to General Manager/receptionist before supplies run out.
  • Help keep groom shop clean.
  • During the workday keep the pet shop safe by wiping up water spills and pet accidents as soon as possible. 

  • At the end of each workday all hair should be swept/mopped from floor and cleaned from tubs/shower. 

  • Holding cages should be ready for next day’s arrivals. 
 

  • Follow safety procedures for pets and staff at all times. Ask for assistance when a pet is stressed, very difficult to manage or showing any signs of injury.
