I got this on my wrist June 1st. It was suppose to help me stop smoking. My dad died of lung and brain cancer on 12/31/08 and had the phrase on himself, so my sister and I went and got it in memory of him. I have't quit. I guess I don't look at my wrist while I am smoking. I also have one on my ankle and one on my chest that I had redone, so I guess I've had 4. This one hurt like heck. Luckily, it was only one color and there wasn't much detail. Just felt like she was carving into my wrist with a knife.

These are my flowers....I'm not really sure what they are....they are lilies with the color of orchids. I'm not sure I've seen a real lily with that color. It's on my collar bone/shoulder. I would like to add some sugar skulls around the flowers and possibly make it a half sleeve. The last picture is a cartoony sugar skull...sort of girly...but I haven't made up my mind yet, I just liked the idea. The middle picture is a seagoat (yeah the capricorn symbol!) on my back. I liked what it stood for and I love anything to do with water...and I love goats.

I JUST noticed this thread. I used to work in a tattoo shop (as an artist)before I groomed dogs.  I know there was another thread about it somewheres too.  I have a few.  These are two of my favorites done by my friend Marc in NJ.  I collect old school.  The Jersey Devil and the mermaid are mine. The sparrow is a straight piece of sailor jerry flash I did on a gal. Fairy on a client's hip.  It's odd how much tattooing and grooming are so alike in so many ways.

Tat, what is the meaning of sparrows and bluebirds to sailors. My dad had one and he was in the Navy?
