Reply with quote | #4 | What blade did you shave him with? Was he very matted? Have you had a vet check him out?

Reply with quote | #5 | he and his sister had escaped and ran around in the woods for a while and came back caked with burs. i tried brushing them all out but he was crying so much and he started to bite me so i took it down with a 5. i have not taken him to the vet because he doesn't seem ill in any other way. it's not bald it just stopped growing at like one inch. and his ears too seemed to stop growing and about the same length. he used to be able to grow his ears nice and and thick but now he just looks like i took a 4f all on his head and ears and it hasn't come back past that and it's been months. i keep having to take his body short because i think he looks dumb with longer body hair than top knot.
I have decided this weekend to start putting on a leave in conditioner combing it every day. i don't comb it every day when it's that short usually i increase daily grooming as the hair gets longer. __________________ Patty @ Spot's

Reply with quote | #6 | You may have something there. Brushing does stimulate the skin, and the hair. We always encourage customers to brush their dogs for these reasons - distributes the oils evenly and stimulates the skin/coat - helps with dry skin/itching etc so it is worth a shot! You may find the more you brush, the more it grows - Good Luck! __________________ Everything happens for a reason. |
