Amy Brown, a creative competitor and fellow stylist needs our help. Amy
has been diagnosed with cancer and needs treatment. Like many
self-employed stylists, Amy does not have any insurance. She was sent
to a surgeon this week and was told that she needs this operation ASAP.
This cancer is a fast spreading cancer and NEEDS to get under control.
Amy told him she could not pay for it right now and he waived a huge
portion of his fees. However, the hospital will not let Amy schedule
her surgery until she has a down payment of $2500.00 for their part.
There is a fund set up to help Amy raise the necessary funds for this surgery

Count me IN. I know what its like to be sick and not have insurance. I just got coverage 1 year ago. But I have a suggestion and wonder if everyone that CAN do this would do it. Its called "Work a Weekend for a Friend"
Take your earnings from next Friday and Saturday only and donate all that money from 2 days to Amy. If we all did it, it could amount to a surgery or a treatment that will help fight that cancer. Won't you please help. How about this.....Every nail trim you do this week, send that amount. We have helped other groomers on here and this one REALLY has no insurance and her hubby is a roofer, so you know how that slows down, especially in winter. PLEASE send what you can, PLEASE!

I'll check with Lori, Acer. Thank you so much for your help. I believe that Amy was able to call the oncologist and surgeon to schedule the surgery today. But she will also be out of work while she is ill. So every bit still helps if anyone would like to donate. |
