Reply with quote | #211 | I received this in my email today from someone in my area and am passing the info along...please feel free to post elsewhere (in your shop, email, ect.).
My miniature poodle, Mo, ran out of my yard Sunday, July 5th late in the evening. He was seen by my neighbor to jump into a car with 2 young ladies driving a dark blue Cavalier. THis occurred in downtown Willis, on Willis Rd. I have been unable to find him. He is very, very light apricot, almost white. He is in major need of a haircut (sorry groomers :-) ), very friendly and outgoing, about 6-8 years old, neutered male, has a microchip implant, and has a distinct tattoo on his inner thigh/groin area that may be noticed during grooming. He is thin but in good health. (I am a veterinarian myself, I have concluded after multitudes of bloodwork that he just burns more energy than you can throw at him.) If you don't mind sharing this info with other groomers and posting a copy of the attached flyer in your lobby I would greatly appreciate it! I love my dog and miss him terribly! I just want him to come home safe! Take care, Thanks again, Melissa Munger 734-461-1510 248-982-7562 (cell) findmomunger@gmail.com

Reply with quote | #212 | I have been contacted by a person trying to re-home her two 9 months old Shih Tuz's. Any takers?
e-mail me: msacer55@comcast.net
Also a guy with a Sheltie is pulling a grooming scam in the Ann Arbor area:. Gets a groom, says to the groomer "Love it!!" next day goes back and gripes to the manager "!hate it, worse groom ever!", gets a refund. Need more info? e-mail me.
Groomers dinner! Chelle and I picked a day + time in order to get this thing rolling! I'll post the date tonight or tomorrow...

Reply with quote | #214 | Well yes! His dog is a Sheltie named Flash! I would love the guys last name if you have it. You can e-mail me. I called your shop with the info I had. The acting manager said you were out for a couple of days...
The groomer dinner is aiming at Monday Aug. 17th 5:30-6:00
We have not picked a *place* yet. We used to go to Creekside on Jackson road because we had lots of groomers working west or heading home west. I don't care where I eat, but it does seem a good idea to pick a place that serves drinks

Reply with quote | #215 | I should just be getting back from the All American Grooming Show the day before. Is anyone else in the area going? __________________ Blind dogs see with thier hearts |

Reply with quote | #216 | I'll shoot you an email with all the info I can remember. That couple drove me INSANE, it still lingers in my mind.
I'm actually out of the salon indefiniately, thanks to a high-risk pregnancy. I'm bored as heck right now, but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end! I'm all about getting out of the house! I'm looking forward to dinner.

Reply with quote | #217 | v1x3y, thanks for the info
Do you live in Ann Arbor? Is there any place you'd want to meet at for dinner? I left a message for Susan from "Pets supply plus" to come to this board and join us ( the last person to do the Sheltie) I'm not sure if she has Internet access and I don't know what area she lives in. Just so you know bathers are also welcome at Groomer Dinners
And what about you wolfcub? Your in Canton right? You want us to come closers to you?

Reply with quote | #218 | I live in Saline, anything in the Ann Arbor area is fine for me. I'll let everyone up at my shop know about the dinner, and the other groomers in the area I know.
Glad I could help with the Sheltie... crazy people! __________________ Well behaved women rarely make history.

Reply with quote | #219 | I'm in Ypsilanti, so Ann Arbor is fine. Probably won't be going to the All American, so as long as hubby is home to watch the kids I should be able to go. __________________ Blind dogs see with thier hearts |

Reply with quote | #221 | We are going to have this Groomers dinner at "Creekside" AGAIN!! No one had any other suggestions... So Monday, Aug the 17th at 5:30-6:00, leave when you want to.
Creekside is on Jackson road west of Ann Arbor just to the west of Meijers on the same side. You can use the Zeeb Rd exit off of 94...
Spread the word! I WILL be there as will Tikigirl (Chelle from Groom&Go) and Linda M. Don't be a party pooper!

Reply with quote | #224 | There is a lady in Ferndale that is going to be doing the online course from Paragon. She would really like to find a place to apprentice at as well. She is willing to start out as a bather and go from there. Is anyone interested or know of someone who might be. She said she is willing to travel for the right opportunity.
